Rally calendar

Well, 2020 was a write-off, and 2021 is beginning slowly, but hopefully. I’ve updated the dates for all those on my list by pushing the dates forward, and checked with the organisers to confirm them where possible.

It seemed possible, but then Delta and now Omicron are making it difficult for many organisers to plan ahead. I got to 3 or 4 rallies in 2021, I’m hoping that 2022 will be better.

The events on this page are mostly drawn from the aigor events page maintained by Tony. These are rallies that I go to, or are on my must do one day list. A few are invitation only or one off events.

All dates are forward, to the next event. Dates may change, so check with the organiser, or here closer to the date.

I have included links to Google maps of most of the sites. These are often best guesses, but should get you to the right side of the country.

There are some links to the organisers pages when I can find them.

        Planning to go to both the spaghetti and geehi rallies
        Double checked the dates and your dates are reversed .
        I would hate someone to turn up on the wrong weekend.
        Like all the info and calender.
        Met you at the trout a few years back.

        At the top of the calendar it says “…These are rallies that I go to, or are on my must do one day list…”

        Next year the Alpine is in the mudhole, and I don’t do that one, nor do I intend to.

        It will reappear after June when the upcoming rally will be at Yarrangobilly.

  2. Pogo, this is the only place I’ve found that lists the Hat Rally. The Aigor site doesnt have it listed either. I know the dates are correct. Confirmed its on?

      • Almost too late to help, but it is on this weekend, and with luck, it will continue under new management.

  3. Hi Pogo. Xmas rally is held in December. The first weekend of the month every year, so I’m told. Cheers, Greg.

    • Good question, Ian. The Alpine is held at alternating sites: Yarrangobilly which I attend and Brindabella which I don’t, and so I list it when it is at Yarrangobilly.

      As it says in the page header, this calendar lists rallies that I go to, or are on my must do one day list. The Vic Sidecar Rally is not one of those and is not listed accordingly.

      There are other more comprehensive sites, the aigor events page for one, and the excellent Australian Rallies Facebook group for another if you are looking to list a rally or to find something different.

  8. Capital Rally has been canceled. Spoke to Leen about it a while back and neither herself or Helen have the time/energy to run it this year. There is a faint hope it may be on next year (2017) but that is far from definite. Sad to see this one off the calendar, was looking forward to it this year :/

    • Many thanks for prompting me to get the dates right, doctorshred.
      It is sad to see the Capital Rally end, but it has limped along for many years in need of more support from MRA ACT. It had to eventually end.
      It would have been great to be back at Brindabella. The ride in is special, and the old site was just perfect.
      Ah well, we have great memories and lots of photographs.

    • George Scarfe was given the go ahead to try and run it next year(back to the river in Jan, no point in trying anything else).

  14. DMCSC are holding their third annual Weekend at Kilburnie Rally on the 18-20 August at Goombungee Mount Darry Road Kilburnie Queensland. Band, games Saturday. Meals Saturday lunch, dinner and Sunday breakfast. Bar on site, shuttle bus to local pub available.
